Tampa Eyelid Surgery

When you have drooping skin or excess skin in your upper eyelids it can make you look constantly tired or sad. What can be done to restore a more rested, alert appearance? When you will meet with Dr. Luria, he will perform a full examination and determine what can be done to restore a more youthful appearance. Dr Luria has been at his Tampa Plastic Surgery Practice for over the past twenty years and takes great care to make sure every eyelid surgery patient is comfortable with his skills as a surgeon.

Dr. Luria believes the best candidates are in good health and have realistic expectations about what the eyelid surgery can accomplish. Good patients also have some of the following characteristics: bags under the eyes, wrinkled, drooping upper and/or lower eyelids or sagging skin in the eyebrow area. Dr. Luria often times recommends that eyelid surgery be done in conjunction with other facial procedures such as a facelift to achieve full facial rejuvenation.

The only way to know which eye procedure is best for you is to come in for a consultation with Dr. Luria. At this meeting he can also answer all of your questions including cost and recovery time. Before your consultation look through the Tampa Eyelid Surgery Photo Gallery to view the results that have been achieved by past patients.

If you are looking to have your upper eyelids redone, Dr. Luria will generally make an incision along the natural crease or fold of your eyelid. Through this incision, Dr. Luria will remove any excess skin and fatty tissue from your eyelid area. Since the incision is made in the natural crease of your eyelid, any scarring will not be as prominent when healed.

If you are looking to have lower eyelid surgery, Dr. Luria will often make the incision just below your lower lashes. Through the incision, Dr. Luria will remove any excess skin, muscle, and fat to give you a more refreshed look. Fat may also be redistributed during the procedure to eliminate puffiness or bulges. As with the upper eyelid surgery, the scarring is not as visible because it is done within your natural crease.

Before you come in for your eyelid surgery consultation, you should write down any questions or concerns to discuss with Dr. Luria during your visit. Also, look through the Tampa Eyelid Surgery Photo Gallery to view past work done by Dr. Luria. You should plan on spending 60 to 90 minutes in the office on the day of your facelift appointment.
