If you are looking for an experienced Blepharoplasty surgeon in Tampa, you should set-up a consultation with Dr. Luria.

How do I know if Blepharoplasty is right for me?

Blepharoplasty is best if you have loose or sagging skin around the eyes. Generally the best blepharoplasty candidates have the following characteristics:

  • excess skin obscuring the natural fold of the upper eyelids
  • loose skin hanging down from the upper eyelids, perhaps impairing vision
  • a puffy appearance to the upper eyelids, making the eyes look tired
  • excess skin and fine, creepy wrinkles of the lower eyelids
  • bags and dark circles under the eyes, often with a depression along the bony border of the lower eyelids
  • droopiness of the lower eyelids, showing white below the iris (colored portion of the eye)

The only way to know if you are a candidate for blepharoplasty is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Luria at his Tampa Plastic Surgery Practice.

Are the results permanent?

The results should give you a more youthful, refreshed appearance for many years to come, but as always the effects of time and gravity will take their toll. It is then that you might want to consider coming in for another procedure. The removal of fatty depsoits from your lower eyelids will always be permanent but wrinkling and sagging may return.
